Dr. T.J. (Tina J.) Wray is a, Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, where she teaches courses in Biblical Studies and World Religions. She has twice received the Presidential award for academic excellence and was voted Professor of the Year in 2004. She is a member of several professional organizations, including The Society of Biblical Literature, The Archaeological Institute of America, and The Tyndale Society. An intrepid traveler, she has lead tours to biblical lands, studied at the Tantur Ecumenical Institute in Jerusalem and is an active participant in the excavations at Mt. Zion, Jerusalem.
A skilled public speaker, Dr. Wray has appeared on National Public Radio, The History Channel, and various other television and radio programs across the country. Known for her humor, dynamism, and interactive style of speaking, she has spoken on topics ranging from grief and loss to the biblical Satan.
Dr. Wray is particularly adept at tailoring her talks to fit a particular audience, including faith-based groups (churches, temples, religious education classes, and workshops), academic groups (high school, undergraduate, graduate, and faculty), and the general public.
